We are seeking a Solid Works CAD Drafter to create and design CAD drawings for business. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with mechanical assemblies and has an eagerness to learn more about the plastics industry. Typical CAD drawings will range and include common applications such as modifications to rotationally molded tanks, various piping spool assemblies, custom plastic fabrication, and machined CNC components.
Our equipment and products we create are used by a variety of industries including: WWT, Pool, Medical device, Food & Beverage, Commercial & Institutional, Semiconductor, Chemical, Waste, Microelectronics, and Metal Finishing. You are expected to be familiar with equipment, assembly, and layout drawings.
- Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
- Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
- Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
- Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
- Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
- Develop and maintain a product library of components and assemblies
- Ability to proficiently operate Solid Works software
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking directions from team leaders and sales representatives
- Work with our fabrication and manufacturing teams to update drawings to reflect as-builts
- Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
- Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
