The Estimator for Park Manufacturing will be motivated and results-driven. Works directly under the Estimating Manager to research pricing and receive quotes for customer requirements. Coordinates between all departments, assuring that customer requirements are met in conjunction with print specifications.

• Able to quote customer requirements from reading a blueprint
• Creating a wire list to customer specifications
• Keeps a matrix of daily customer related activities for quotes, orders and other issues
• Receives pricing for parts from Park’s Purchasing Department and from new and current vendors
• Enters Bill of Material (BOM) into the computer system
• Contacts customers with any changes that need to be make and/or any questions regarding blueprints
• Performs assigned duties with minimal supervision from the Estimating Manager
• Assists the Document Control Department with prototypes and first article issues or questions
• Completes the proper paperwork for revision changes

Sufficient Estimating or equivalent assembly experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years’ related experience as an assembler and/or training as an Estimator; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferable in the field of electrical harness assembly, cable assembly and/or electrical/mechanical assembly.

• Previous experience in Estimating; wire harness, electrical components, or manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand or learn complex wire harness solutions
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of and ability to apply applicable safety rules and practices
• Ability to apply to commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with issues that arise in day-to-day situations
• Ability to make quick, confident, knowledgeable decisions

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and written quality standards in the English language. Must be able read and understand basic blueprint layouts. Ability to effectively communicate information in a one-on-one a small or large group setting. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical information. Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers.

Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure (US and Metric), using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must be able to accurately use various multiple simple measuring devices.

- Training requirements can be either developing oneself in an academic setting, on the job training or demonstration of mastery.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The individual is subject to moderate exposure to possible injuries. Must follow all safety requirements carefully.

Work is mainly performed in an office and/or manufacturing facility where noise levels usually range from low to high due to the use of equipment and the operation of machines.
