RN Operating Room - Casual

Job Summary

Allina Health is a not‑for‑profit health system serving Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We are hiring a Registered Nurse to provide safe and efficient operating room care during 8‑hour day shifts (Monday through Friday) with no weekends.

• Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs.
• Identify outcomes and establish a plan of care based on a needs assessment.
• Supervise progress and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Maintain education and competencies to provide high‑quality patient care.
• Incorporate evidence‑based nursing practice, complying with current statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Establish realistic and measurable patient outcomes in collaboration with family and patient.
• Identify outcomes that are age‑appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable.
• Coordinate, collaborate, and delegate appropriately to ensure safe and effective care.
• Fulfill all organizational requirements.
• Supplemental roles (when acting):
  
  • Charge Nurse – coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operations.
  
  • Preceptor – identify orientee’s learning needs, plan learning experiences, and validate clinical competence.

• Associate’s or Vocational degree as a Registered Nurse.
• RN experience required.
• Completion or in‑process completion of an approved Periop 101 program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or additional experience.

• Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in Minnesota upon hire.
• WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in Wisconsin upon hire.
• Must meet at least one of the following:
  
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  
  • Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross.
  
  • Allina in‑house BLS training (within 30 days of hire).
  
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 2‑Advanced Cardiac Life Support (may be required at some sites).
  
  • CNOR Certified Nurse Operating Room preferred.

Medium work: lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.

$42.92 to $71.47 per hour (based on experience, education, and union agreement if applicable). Shift differentials may apply.
