Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN) (Cambridge, MN)
RSI is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing support to individuals with developmental, physical, and mental health disabilities throughout East Central Minnesota. The schedule is Monday through Friday during business hours, with flexibility required to meet program and individual support needs. Weekend and holiday shifts are not required, except occasional on‑call phone support. Travel between program locations is required and mileage will be reimbursed.
Reliable transportation is essential.
This position supports RSI’s Lotus Grace program—a 24/7 Residential Crisis Stabilization (RCS) and Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) facility in Cambridge, MN—and RSI’s residential foster‑care homes across East Central Minnesota. The role includes 20 scheduled hours per week at Lotus Grace, with the remaining full‑time hours assigned to the foster‑care homes, providing nursing assessment, care coordination, staff training, and support.

The program offers immediate, person‑centered support in a licensed residential setting for individuals experiencing mental health crises, with a nature‑based environment that promotes healing, personal growth, and recovery.
Salary: $76,000–$79,000 annually

Key
Job Duties:
- Complete person‑served assessments upon admission and develop medical care plans.
- Monitor and treat the physical and mental health needs of service recipients, coordinating appropriate follow‑up care.
- Delegate, train, and document medication administration accurately.
- Support the professional growth and development of staff at assigned programs through performance management and training.
- Provide staff training on medication administration, program procedures, and individualized care needs while ensuring compliance.
- Oversee medical documentation and appointment scheduling.
- Coordinate the ordering of medications, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain familiarity with Minnesota statutes and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control plans and adhere to OSHA blood borne pathogen standards.
- Participate in a rotating on‑call telephone nursing schedule with additional compensation.
- Travel as needed for trainings and meetings.
Requirements:
- Pass a post‑offer background and MVR check.
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
- Current Minnesota RN license; preference for candidates with at least 2 years of nursing experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Mental Health Practitioner Qualifications (choose one):
- At least 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in behavioral sciences or related field and 2,000 hours of experience with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities.
- At least 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in behavioral sciences or related field and completion of a practicum or internship focused on behavioral sciences that required direct interaction with individuals served.
- 4,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities.
- 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities and receipt of treatment supervision at least once per week until 4,000 hours of experience are obtained.
- A master’s or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related field.
