Job Overview
Cub Cambridge is looking for a dedicated individual for a Full Time Grocery Manager position. The Grocery Manager will plan and manage the Grocery Department to promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals; ensure a positive shopping experience for customers; maintain a safe and positive working environment for associates.
Job Responsibilities- Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
- Develop effective daily/weekly work plans based on weekly sales projections, budgeted labor goals and previous operating results
- Implement and maintain coordinated, aggressive and creative merchandising plans using Division guidelines, which maximize sales, variety and gross profit
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage within the department
- Supervise Grocery associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives
- Manage Grocery receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control and that gross profit goals are met
- Train and develop grocery department personnel
- Supervise department safety and sanitation programs
- Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Memorization, reading, writing and math
- Position requires ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service
- Good judgment required; may have times when direct supervision not immediately available
- Ability to understand and follow verbal/demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
- Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
- Open availability is required
- At least one evening shift required between Friday and Sunday

CompensationUNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
