Key Position Details- Location:

Every Other Weekend - FTE: 0.6 FTE (48 hours per two‑week pay period)
Responds, controls and oversees calls for assistance and alarms; takes action and interventions to mitigate situations and reduce injury, prevent property damage or loss. Patrols, assesses and secures organization’s properties and provides escorts and education to internal customers. Enforces criminal ordinances and administrative policies partnering with law enforcement and other community partners.
- Respond to security emergencies.
- Investigate calls for services and prepare written reports.
- Patrol and assess organization’s properties.
- Identify, evaluate and escalates threats and risks.
- Provide escorts at company facilities and campuses.
- Monitor critical building security systems such as cameras, alarms, access control and weapons detection screening systems.
- Maintain and operate equipment including radio, emergency vehicle and TASER.
- Enforce criminal ordinances and administrative policies.
- Make citizen arrests per policy.
- Partner with law enforcement.
- Cite non‑compliance related to administrative policies such as smoking, parking and regulatory related to safety and security.
- Serve as department liaison to internal partners, community partners and other customers.
- Provide education to internal customers to mitigate personal safety in and out of the workplace.
- Serve on organizational regulatory and security committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Completion or current enrollment of an Associate’s or Vocational degree or other post‑secondary education.
- In lieu of a degree requirement, one year of experience in security, law enforcement, military or related field.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Allina in‑house BLS training within 30 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license required upon hire; MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment.
- Preferred:
International Association for Hospital Safety and Security (IAHSS) certification. - Preferred: OSHA First Responder certification.
- Preferred:
Crisis Intervention Training (CIT).
Very heavy work:
Lifting weight over 100 lbs occasionally, over 50 lbs frequently.
$23.22 to $31.83 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
