Driver - On Call

Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services – GracePointe Crossing is seeking an on‑call Driver to operate the campus van. The Driver will provide shuttle service on campus for residents to access campus buildings and will support transporting residents to off‑campus activities as needed.

This position reports to the Housing Director.

Conveniently located near downtown Cambridge, the community offers amenities such as off‑street parking, monthly employee appreciation events, and a gift shop.

• Organize and provide a shuttle service for residents.
• Maintain a daily schedule, plan routes, and schedule riders accordingly.
• Provide door‑to‑door service for residents with mobility or ambulating impairments.
• Escort residents from their home or apartment to the bus and into their destination building.
• Coordinate a schedule with designated staff and residents to support periodic services for off‑campus activities.

• Functional literacy and sufficient education.
• Class A or B driver’s license with passenger endorsement as required.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance to ensure safe operation and troubleshoot problems.
• Current and valid medical certificate in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Excellent driving record.
• Patience, tact, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work independently with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the public.
• Compatibility with PHS’s mission and operating philosophies.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

$19.09 – $20.59 per hour (subject to change based on qualifications and market conditions).
