Position: Fluid Specialist I

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field test on water, testing for Iron, Chlorites, Sulfates, Calcium Carbonates, PH, Specific Gravity, and Temperature and properly record and report findings
  • Run tests on chemicals and acid delivered to site and maintain records of chemicals acid and additives delivered to location
  • Consult with customers and make recommendations about using or modifying complex chemical combinations for safe use by customers to maximize production
  • Analyze chemicals and tests at field locations;
    Effectively communicate recommendations to the Customer based on results of testing
  • Analyze the fracturing fluid formulations designed in the pre-job testing and reports prior to the frac/pumping company pumping the fracturing treatments
  • Verify and communicate to customer that fracturing fluid formulations designed in pre-job testing and reports are valid prior to customer pumping the fracturing treatments.
  • Appropriately document and report all analysis findings to internal team and externally to the customer/customer representative at site
  • Prepare and conduct product presentations, customer consultations and recommendations
  • Mentor newly on-boarded fluid consultants in proper water and chemicals testing, pilot testing, sample quality interpretation and develop communication with customer
  • Create and maintain reports as needed based on laboratory analysis, for internal distribution and external customer distribution
  • Maintain safety standards in the lab, mobile labs while traveling and report all hazards or potentially hazardous situations to Line Supervisor and S.H.E. Manager
  • Maintain and assist with repairing of equipment
  • Treating ponds and handling scheduled fracs
  • Maintain chemical inventory reports
  • Order and Receivable of chemical
  • Create tickets for presentation to the customer for approval signatures
  • Present professional manner and work closely with sales team and field supervisors to satisfy customer requirements
  • Maintain regular communication with sales team and supervisors in order to report field problems and/or safety hazards
  • Always maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections
  • Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve safety skills
  • Treat Tanks with chemicals
  • Properly load trucks, and prepare daily bills of lading
Role Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience
  • 2-5 years Fracturing Stimulation experience in service company or Oilfield operating company
  • Ability to proficiently operate all equipment on location, including auxiliary equipment
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including long and/or irregular hours
