A Project Draftsman Coordinator manages technical drawings and documentation for construction and industrial projects.
They collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Develop detailed shop and erection drawings for steel bridge components including girders, trusses, cross-frames, and connection details
- Interpret structural engineering plans, sketches, and specifications to produceaccurateconstruction documents
- Maintain project documentation
- Communicate with project teams, stakeholders, and clients
- Identify and resolve project issues
- Ensure drawings meet project deadlines and specifications
- Maintain and enforce drafting and document control standards
- Manage project schedules
- Manage the quality of subcontract drafting resources
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum3years of drafting experience specifically within the steel bridge fabrication or heavy structural steel industry
- Ability to read and interpret contract plans and project specifications
- Proficiency in drafting software
An Associate of Applied Science in Drafting or a related degree/certificate from a community college or technical school.
