Hair Stylist

Overview

Regis is excited to welcome you as a Stylist. You are responsible for serving clients in a friendly, professional way, with a focus on client satisfaction. You will accomplish this by following customer service principles, applying techniques effectively, creatively, and efficiently, and utilizing strong consultation procedures to ensure client expectations are exceeded as part of being a Regis team member.

• Provide quality services by consulting with clients and applying the appropriate service techniques.
• Recommend and participate in approved local marketing initiatives, including depth and frequency of coupon campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and client appreciation events.
• Educate clients about proper home hair care and recommend services and products to help maintain hairstyles between visits.
• Employ best practices for customer service, ensuring each client’s satisfaction and building client loyalty.
• Provide quality consultations, including stating the final price before the service begins.
• Complete all required administrative tasks promptly (e.g., closing out a ticket on the POS system and scheduling appointments).
• Communicate effectively and positively with clients, team members, leaders, and the corporate support team.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards set by Regis.
• Be willing and able to perform all services offered at the salon.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduled shifts to fit business needs, including potential night and weekend shifts.
• Attend required technical training sessions.
• Follow Regis policies as defined in the Handbook and salon procedures (including bank deposits/runs, cleaning/maintenance, and disinfecting styling implements).

• Work as a team player and/or independently.
• Market yourself in the community and salon to increase clientele.
• possess exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit consistent and excellent customer service skills.
• Multi-task efficiently to complete salon duties.
• Show willingness to learn new techniques and stay current with hair trends.
• The physical requirements of the position may require bending, sitting, twisting, turning, lifting (generally 10-15 pounds), and/or standing for extended periods of time.

• Stylist-in-Training – Graduated 90 days or less away from graduating from cosmetology school.
• Stylist – possession of a valid, current cosmetology or barber’s license.

• Must maintain a valid cosmetology or barber’s license (or within 90 days of graduating).
• All Stylists/Stylists-in-Training are required to complete assigned training as determined by Regis.
• All Supercuts Stylists/Stylists-in-Training must participate in the Hair Stylist Academy (HSA) program and receive a certificate of completion.
