Overview
Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift to join our team located in Cambridge, OH
. 2nd Shift: 2pm to 10pm (Monday thru Friday).
Hourly Rate: $30-$38/hr. commensurate with experience + shift differential with bonus potential.
The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance of all equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
- Perform thorough work and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from internal customers.
- Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
- Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
- Know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
- Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components.
- Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.
- 2-3 years of maintenance experience.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, HMIs, and other electrical components preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals.
