**** About the Role
** As a
** Maintenance Technician
** at
** Zekelman Industries, Cambridge, OH**, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe repair, rebuild, and maintenance of tube mill production equipment. Your focus will be on maximizing equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield to support efficient manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical aptitude, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to identify and resolve both electrical and mechanical issues in a fast-paced industrial environment.

** Hourly compensation will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
** What You’ll Do*
* • Performs electrical maintenance on equipment, adhering to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).  
• Ensures all guards and safety devices are in place and functional before returning equipment to service.  
• Monitors inventory levels of parts, equipment, and supplies; places orders and verifies deliveries as needed.  
• Utilizes manual and computerized maintenance management systems to track, inspect, and document equipment status.  
• Reads and interprets blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair machinery.  
• Troubleshoots and resolves electrical, mechanical, and quality issues, escalating concerns when necessary.  
• Performs breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeovers on production equipment.  
• Identifies and reports safety, quality, and operational issues when unable to correct them independently.  
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and uses precision instruments to diagnose and correct malfunctions.  
• Fabricates and installs repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment.  
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.  
• Operates powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable cranes as required.  
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives and participates in problem-solving activities.  
• Promotes a strong culture of health and safety in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.  
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
** Who You Are*
* • 5+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role.  
• High school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical/electrical training preferred.  
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and interpretation of technical drawings.  
• Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in electrical systems and PLCs.  
• Effective communication skills in English with the ability to perform basic math calculations.  
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.  
• Ability to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a drug screening.  
• Strong teamwork skills with a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.
** Physical Abilities*
* • Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.  
• Stands or walks for extended periods throughout the shift.  
• Bends, twists, stoops, sits, kneels, crawls, and reaches in all directions as required.
