The primary focus of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain and repair equipment and ensure that all equipment and production lines are operating in accordance with company standards.

3rd shift:
Sunday–Thursday, 10:45 pm – 7:00 am.
Hourly rate of pay is commensurate with experience and electrical assessment conducted by Quanex, beginning at $25.00/hr. + $1.00 shift differential for 2nd & 3rd shifts.
Responsibilities- Perform required maintenance of all equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment and improvements & troubleshooting existing equipment.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Track and report maintenance issues or future reference.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures.
- Ensure compound retains are rotated accordingly.
- Continually be advised of equipment updates and operational issues and take action as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Ability to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Use of digital voltmeter.
- Support general maintenance activities as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed.
- Continued education-internal & external training opportunities.
- Ability to handle and resolve problems.
- Ability to perform any other work‑related functions as requested by Management.
- General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5S duties.
- Operate forklift/fill out daily forklift checklist when needed.
- HS Diploma;
Technical Degree Preferred. - 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing setting.
- VFD, Motor Controls experience.
- PLC troubleshooting and modification experience.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
- Basic knowledge of chilled water systems.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Strong Electrical experience.
- Print Reading.
- Wiring.
- Troubleshooting.
- Detail oriented, professional, and flexible to the requirement of each project.
- Dependable, reliable, responsible.
- Must be driven and self‑motivated.
- Ability to complete written reports.
- Computer skills.
