As a Protective Services Officer at Ohio Health, you will safeguard patients, visitors, and caregivers across our healthcare campuses. In this frontline role within the Safety, Security & Law Enforcement department, you will perform proactive patrols, monitor access and CCTV, respond to emergencies and alarms, and de escalate disruptive situations with professionalism and compassion. You'll collaborate closely with clinical teams, provide escorts and way finding assistance, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and privacy standards.

Responsibilities
- Provide visible security presence across hospital facilities to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarms and security calls
- De-escalate volatile situations using conflict resolution techniques and coordinate with law enforcement when needed
- Assist clinical teams during emergencies, codes, and patient/visitor disturbances
- Document incidents, prepare accurate reports, and maintain security logs following Ohio
- Health policies
- Support way finding, patient/visitor escorts, and customer service consistent with Ohio
- Health's compassionate care values
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety, security, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and workplace violence prevention
