Job Description - Maintenance Repair Worker 2 (260002T1)

Compensation$20.85 - $22.96 per hour
ScheduleFull-time, 6:00am to 3:00pm
Responsibilities- Performs maintenance, replacement, installation & repair of electrical and plumbing equipment.
- Performs carpentry work involving maintenance, alteration & or repair of buildings, equipment & wood structures.
- Performs basic painting.
- Operates state vehicle to transport equipment, tools, parts, materials & supplies to various locations throughout the state or to transport vehicle to dealership for service or repair.
- Performs minor custodial duties.
- Performs general exterior grounds keeping duties.
- Performs minor maintenance on Division vehicles.
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
- Minimum 6 months training or experience in maintenance repair work (basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment).
- Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
- Optional minimum class qualifications for employment may substitute required experience, but not for required licensure.
- Requires valid driver license to operate state vehicle.
- May work evening shift.
- May be exposed to high & low temperatures.
- May be exposed to weather.
- BCI and FBI fingerprint check, background check, including a polygraph examination may be required.
- A comparative analysis and/or drug test may be required.
- Position subject to Federal Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms regulations prohibiting possession of firearm(s) or ammunition while mandating drug test compliance.
