An excellent opportunity has become available for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in King's Cross. Working for a well-established building services provider, you'll be part of a professional team maintaining a high-profile building while benefiting from ongoing training and genuine career progression.
This is a static, Monday to Friday role, offering an excellent work-life balance with no call-out requirement.
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and building services systems. You will diagnose faults, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, liaise with subcontractors, and provide a high level of service to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain and service single and three-phase power, emergency lighting, fire alarms, BMS, AHUs, FCUs, generators, and VRV/VRF systems
- Complete basic water hygiene duties, including temperature monitoring, tap tests, dosing, and cooling tower checks
- Keep maintenance records, logbooks, and compliance documentation up to date
- Supervise specialist contractors and support planned maintenance activities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site team
- Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installations (City & Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent)
- At least 3 years' experience within commercial building maintenance
- Strong fault-finding ability and a proactive approach to maintenance
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Apprenticeship background desirable but not essential
- £50,000 £ 55,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
- No call-out rota
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
