Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Education Environment - Hampstead, North West London | Up to £50,000 per annum

A leading facilities management service provider based in Hampstead, North West London, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a static contract within an educational setting.

This is a single-person site role, and the successful candidate will take full responsibility for all landlord and tenant M&E and fabric maintenance, covering both planned and reactive work. You'll be the sole engineer on site, so a broad, hands-on skill set across the following areas is essential:

Lighting: small installations, fault-finding, lamping, ballast replacement, control panels, power distribution
Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
Air conditioning: air handling units and fan coil units (filter changes, cleaning)
Chillers: resetting
Pumps and motors
Water treatment: temperature checks (non-dosing)
Plumbing: unblocking toilets, changing taps and seals
BMS monitoring (hot and cold systems)
UPS systems: monitoring and taking readings
General building fabric maintenance
Escorting subcontractors

Working hours

Monday to Friday,
08:00–17:00 (40-hour week)
Overtime available.

Basic salary up to £50,000
26 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Requirements

Electrically qualified, with trade certificates available for review
City & Guilds - NVQ Level 2 & 3
City & Guilds 17th or 18th Edition
Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance
Strong customer service skills
Honest, hardworking, and reliable
DBS check required due to the educational setting
