Adult Education Instructor-Hampton; Part-time

Position

Part Time Adult Ed Instructor (Hampton location). The adult education instructor works under general supervision and is responsible for instructing students in the classroom. This position is governed by agency/institution policy.

• Teach basic skills (reading, writing, and language).
• Prepare students for the GED® exam.
• Create an engaging and interactive classroom.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual students.
• Assess student progress through regular quizzes, tests, and assignments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
• Create a positive learning environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and technology to engage students and enhance their learning.
• Continuously evaluate class performance and provide input on program improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree with current Arkansas teaching license or Master’s degree in math or science.

Experience: 2-3 years of teaching.
