Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control team. Our team is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge missile and fire‑control solutions that protect people and enable mission success.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for translating hardware specifications into manufacturable tooling and equipment, and providing hands‑on support throughout the product lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop tooling and equipment designs from specifications through complete technical data packages ready for fabrication.
- Create detailed design documentation using Pro‑Engineer / Solid Works in accordance with company standards.
- Provide engineering support to the production floor, troubleshooting integration issues and ensuring production‑rate targets are met.
- Research, plan, and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, and thermal‑hydraulic components.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Knowledge of hand tools and machine tools and the ability to teach others how to use them.
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
- Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design.
- Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.
- Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or Solid Works.
- Knowledgeable of engineering materials.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
