We are seeking a Lead, Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing facility located in Camden, AR. The role will develop, implement, and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicate them to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include defining, developing, and transferring manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems; developing manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes; actively participating with engineering project teams to coordinate new product releases;
estimating and tracking manufacturing costs, determining time standards, and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines; and maintaining records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
- Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in‑depth knowledge of project management.
- Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance with minimal oversight or direction.
- Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to processes, practices, and approaches.
- Makes significant improvements to systems and processes.
- Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results. Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results.
- Investigates and determines root causes of problems, develops and implements corrective and preventive actions.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and training to other employees across the company within area of expertise.
- Ability to travel, 5–10%, may be required.
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Minitab, and JMP.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Statistical Analysis experience.
- Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation.
- Experience working with Energetics and DOD contracts.
- Capital Project Management.
