Join Raytheon–Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S), a Joint Venture, as a Production Support Engineer focused on configuration/change control and production execution. You’ll ensure that complex subassemblies for the Iron Dome system—AURs, Canisters, CCAs, Motors, Rocket Motors, Warheads, and additional machined components—are built right the first time and every time.
Eligibility: U.S. citizens only. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance (or higher) is required.
Your mission
Industrialize new suppliers: transfer know‑how, define controls, and validate readiness.
Interrogate manufacturing systems: planning, tooling, routing/flow, inventory strategy, and factory layout—both at supplier sites and our own production floor.
Author, curate, and release Technical Data Packages through the Configuration Control Board with full traceability.
Decompose customer ECNs into actionable changes with quantified cost/schedule/execution impact; update controlled baselines.
Translate supplier change requests and nonconformances into risk narratives; align mitigations with R2S and customer Quality.
Support AS9102 FAI reviews to validate first‑time build integrity.
Brief program leadership on supplier health, risks, and data‑driven change justifications.
Deliver clear technical presentations to international customer engineering stakeholders.
Participate in daily peer reviews; codify standard engineering processes and embed them in enterprise systems.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you bring
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years of engineering experience with emphasis in aerospace/defense.
Manufacturing and producibility experience across hardware life cycles.
Expertise in configuration management principles.
Advanced analytical/problem‑solving skills; confident presenter to leadership.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
U.S. citizenship with Secret clearance eligibility.
Bonus points
Current Secret clearance and 8+ years in aerospace/defense engineering.
Experience collaborating with international partners on defense/aerospace hardware.
Understanding of CCA manufacturing and electrical test methods.
End‑to‑end producibility across machining, mechanical assembly, electro‑mechanical assembly, and mix/cast energetics.
GD&T literacy and application.
Experience handling classified work in closed areas.
Proven build‑to‑print manufacturing and assembly.
Manufacturing engineering toolkit (planning, lean manufacturing, etc.).Working knowledge of EVMS and ERP platforms.
Ability to interface effectively at all levels of management.

Camden, Arkansas Travel:
Around 15% within the U.S., with rare trips overseas.
Schedule options: 9/80 or 4/10 compressed workweeks.
