Environment Health & Safety Engineer | Lockheed Martin
You will be the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer working second shift for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Camden, AR. Our team is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant operational environment across the site.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for driving safety compliance across the site and supporting the customer's needs.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Identifies hazardous workplace conditions and takes preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances, removes hazards and/or protects employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment.
- Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained.
- Investigates, prepares, and forwards as required reports on injuries and fatalities.

This is a Third shift position. Hours for Third Shift are typically Monday-Thursday, from 8pm-6:30am.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Desired skills
Background working knowledge of Explosive Safety and Engineering practices. Fundamental understanding of occupational safety and health requirements in manufacturing and construction operations. Competence in reading, interpreting, and developing written instructions based on technical drawings and documentation. Experience with robotics and other automated production tooling. Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement. Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience.
Proficient in reporting and accounting tools used at the site, such as Microsoft Office e.g., Excel, Teams, and SharePoint is a plus. Pursuit of industry recognized certifications in the Safety, Health, or Environmental disciplines.
