Division Manager-Administration
This is a 12-month position. The Division Manager-Administration will work under the supervision of the Director of the Arkansas Fire Training Academy, and oversee all activities, personnel and assigned budget. This is a 12-month on-campus position. Hours are from 7:30 am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00am - 12:00pm on Friday. If not residing in Camden or surrounding area, relocation is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS: Specifically, the job assignment includes but is not limited to:
- Excellent communications skills
- Conduct annual or periodic reviews with direct reports
- Perform continuous division evaluation
- Update tactics/policies as required
- Attend training/education classes as needed or required
- Meet with fire chiefs, training officers and other officials as required or requested
- Coordinate classes, classrooms, props, instructors, testing, and other functions in cohesion and cooperation with other divisions and other applicable agencies such as ADEM and the Bureau of EMS
- Instruct or teach as needed on or off campus
- Attend applicable fire or EMS meetings and events
- Represent the organization in public relations endeavors and informational matters
- Maintain strict confidentiality with student records
- Assist with planning and implementation of goals, objectives, strategies, mission, vision, and values
- Consistently evaluate facilities and physical resources to ensure proper regulations and working order
- Assist with overall organizational planning
- Assist with planning and implementation of annual budget
- Participate in meetings and other scheduled or non-scheduled tasks
- Recognize employees for superior services
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to perform each essential duty listed
• Minimum of one year of service at SAU Tech or the Arkansas Fire Training Academy
• Experience with typical computer software programs – specifically Microsoft Office
• Driver's License
• Background check required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate's Degree in Business Systems or related field
• 5 years of experience in an office setting
• Prior experience in Fire Service Training KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of rules and regulations of assigned division
• Knowledge of records management systems in place
• Must be a self-starter and driven
• Ability to think proactively and function independently
• Manage complex calendars
• Use organizational equipment to input, review, and access records and other software programs
• Perform data entry relevant to division record keeping and maintain required records and test banks ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
• Division Managers will be assigned one or more additional duties related to the AFTA, including but not limited to: class preparation, curriculum updates, vehicle and equipment maintenance documentation, student check-in, NFIRS, etc.
