The Missile Solutions segment of L3
Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. The technician will work with a cross‑functional team of engineers and technicians to fabricate and assemble components for advanced solid rocket systems. This developing support‑level position focuses on mixing and processing energetics for casting.
Responsibilities include cleaning and assembling equipment, maintaining a clean work area, operating machinery, recording and maintaining product records, and working safely to produce high‑quality products.
Essential Functions- Full‑scale propellant mixing (50%) – prepare materials, perform full‑scale mixing, confirm acceptable weights, and release materials to casting operations. Perform new programme mixes, requisition and organize materials, and clean and maintain equipment under guidance.
- Mathematical calculations (10%) – perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to create acceptable mixes and fill out manufacturing data sheets.
- Grinding (35%) – assemble grinders, grind materials, weigh bins, and disassemble, clean, and re‑assemble equipment.
- Other duties (5%) – including AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, and support of new production initiatives.
- Willingness to work other shifts or overtime as needed.
- Ability to work from elevated platforms, ascend ladders, and transport 35 lbs. repeatedly.
- Medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate a powered industrial vehicle (and obtain a company‑issued license as appropriate).
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post‑secondary/associate’s degree with 0–2 years of related experience.
Preferred Skills- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to follow safety practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
- Ability to work with management, supervisors, or leads to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
