Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Machinist C to join our growing facility in Camden, AR. This position is responsible for the planning, layout, setup, operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of major conventional or automatic machines. Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions.

Checks and inspects and builds machining operations against specified tolerances. May include work with fabrication, sheet metal operations, or machine hardware and assemblies. May also make recommendations concerning use of and improvement upon materials and design.

Essential Functions:

• Fabricates piece parts per work instructions, drawings and specifications through the use of required machine tools.
• Inspects piece parts per work instruction and drawing requirements.
• Operates machine tools. Will machine energetic materials remotely.
• The machinist may need to work weekends and off hour shifts to maintain schedule.
• Uses, adjusts, cleans and stores the tools, machinery and equipment used.
• Keeps records and reports of the use of equipment.
• May assist in making estimates of the time and materials required to complete an assignment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional

Skills:

• Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology a plus
• Manual/CNC experience is preferred
• Familiarization of machine tools and equipment, machine shop procedures and practices and principals and properties desired
• Knowledge of basic mathematic principles to solve problems is preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment and relate to all levels of employees is desired
• Have a valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to read and understand blueprints is preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedule is desired
