Tool Setter/Tool Grinder
You will be the Tool Setter/Tool Grinder for our machine shop team. Our team is responsible for setting up and maintaining the tooling for our CNC machines, working with engineering to develop new tooling requirements, and ensuring the quality of our products. What You Will Be Doing As the Tool Setter/Tool Grinder, you will be responsible for setting up tooling for CNC machines, interpreting blueprints and engineering specifications, and using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate and high-quality products.
You will also work closely with engineering, machine operators, and management to ensure that tooling requirements are met and that production runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up tooling for CNC machines
- Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
- Using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate and high-quality products
- Tracking calibrated machine fixtures and ordering new tooling as needed
- Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
- Working with engineering to develop new tooling requirements
