The Landscape Specialist works under general supervision and reports to the Asst. Director of the Physical Plant. The position is responsible for maintaining grounds and building, performing general labor, and providing instructions to other maintenance workers. This position is governed by agency/institution policy.
This is a 12-month, 40 hours per week, on-campus position. If not residing in Camden or surrounding area, relocation is required.

Essential Functions Statement(s)- Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Works independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Identifies maintenance, safety, or operational issues and makes informed recommendations to the Assistant Director.
- Exercises judgment in prioritizing work and determining appropriate corrective actions.
- Loads and unloads items such as chairs, tables, risers, pianos, furniture, etc.
- Hauls dirt and fills holes.
- Picks up trash and broken limbs.
- Sprays, prunes and trims shrubbery and trees.
- Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubbery, fertilizes and waters as necessary.
- Operating equipment such as tractors, lawn mowers or weed eaters to cut grass.
- Cleans out window wells, stairwells and drainage ditches.
- Receive and deliver daily freight, maintain log of both receipt and delivery of all freight.
- Ability to operate groundskeeping and janitorial equipment.
- Ability to perform general labor and groundskeeping duties.
- Ability to demonstrate groundskeeping and general labor tasks to other employees.
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
- Must have an Arkansas driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
ExperienceOne to two years related experience
