Position Summary
Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental:
The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity.
- Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
- Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
- Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
- Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
- Other - Perform other duties as assigned
- Under General Supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently
- Regular interaction with clients
• Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results - Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; working knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems
- Able to use all standard Environmental equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills; able to understand AC/DC circuits
- HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred
- 2-6 Years of experience

Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
