Job Overview

The Order Checker is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all Customer Orders leaving the Warehouse by inspecting and verifying completed Orders, documenting any discrepancies, and ensuring corrections are made before loading for delivery. The role may also review and inspect the accuracy of all Route Delivery Trucks upon return to the Warehouse, document discrepancies, and make needed changes prior to finalizing the Route Truck Check-In Process.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of Customer Orders by inspecting built pallets to ensure they are adequately built, stabilized, and secure for transportation, reviewing Pick Tickets to confirm product type and quantity, and communicating with warehouse teammates to correct errors.
  • Inspect returning Route Delivery Trucks for proper condition before Check-In, perform Blind Counts of all returning trucks to compare with reported quantities, communicate issues to drivers, and make changes to the final Load-In prior to finalizing the Check-In Process.
  • Document any discrepancies, changes, additions, or subtractions to a Customer Order on the proper reports (Load Bay Diagrams/Pick Tickets) and provide information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Account for all returned product and deposit items on Route Delivery Trucks, ensuring information is classified correctly (e.g., Out-of-Date, Damaged, Good Items, Pallets).
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse; perform other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Attention to detail and basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repeatedly lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes.
  • Ability to adapt to needs of the role across different work areas during the workday and meet minimum expectations of those areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
  • Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and non‑climate‑controlled environment (hot in summer, cold in winter).
  • Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks value‑add opportunities.
  • Flexibility to accommodate schedule/hour changes with business demands.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Up to 12 months of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification;
Pallet Jack.

Work Environment

Warehouse environment.
