Position : Pre-Cut Clerk

Depaetment: Produce Department

Reports To: Produce Manager

Flsa Status: Non-Exempt

To maintain and operate the cut fruit and vegetable area according to department and company standards.

• Verify and communicate the quality, count, and freshness of all products.
• Prepare all merchandise in the cut fruit and vegetable areas. (Trimming, pricing)
• Maintain a neat and clean Prep area in accordance to department and company standards.
• Maintenance of equipment and housekeeping of coolers and sales area.
• Conduct and record temperature checks on all refrigerated coolers.
• Communicate any temperature failures to department and store management.
• Cut and trim product for replenishing the pre-cut sections during the second shift.
• Greet all customers and be observant to people in the store.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.

• Monitor inventory and supplies and notify Produce Manager when orders are needed.

• Basic math skills and ability to accurately count product and match against invoices.
• Must have strong communication skills for assisting customers.
• Must have dexterity in hands to enable trimming and packaging of product.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specified areas.
• Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds, up to fifty (50) percent of the time.
• Must be able to stand upright for the majority of your scheduled work shift.
