Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Camden, MI, for a Special Education Teacher. The teacher will work directly with students who have varied abilities, designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs). Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, adapting instructional content, assessing student progress, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, and fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. The successful candidate will also maintain communication with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure student growth and success.
Qualifications- Experience in Special Education and working with students with disabilities
- Proficiency in teaching and working with middle school students
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, staff, and students
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively
- Licensed or certified to teach Special Education as required by Michigan state standards
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
