Camden Rockport Middle School, housed in a beautiful new building, serves just under 350 students in grades 5-8 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRMS has been implementing a Project Based Learning model of curriculum and instruction and values students' active engagement in the learning process.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic professional who loves working with middle school students and working collaboratively with other professionals to support student learning through academic interventions. The ideal candidate will have experience in literacy and math instruction through tutoring or teaching experience, and find joy in working with middle level learners. This position works 8:15 - 3:45, inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid break.

• Support student learning under the supervision of the lead intervention teacher and MTSS Coordinator.
• Work with individuals or small groups of students to provide instructional support.
• Work with one or more grade level teams and assist with data records and management.
• Perform lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal duties as assigned.

• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness and flexibility to seek nontraditional solutions to issues as they arise
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Ability to proactively manage the classroom and student environment
• Physical ability, including but not limited to: standing for extended periods of time, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending and reaching outward, ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Background check, including fingerprinting
• Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval
• Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III Certification

Pay is $23.56 - $26.08 based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract.
