Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at our 58-bed skilled nursing facility in coastal Maine. Our facility offers post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care services, and we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our residents.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a licensed Occupational Therapist with a strong background in rehabilitative and therapeutic care. They will have a passion for working with elderly patients and a commitment to helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

• - Conduct evaluations to assess the functional abilities and limitations of patients
• - Develop individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals
• - Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and strength
• - Educate patients and their families on adaptive equipment and techniques to improve daily living skills
• - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
• - Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

• - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• - Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting
• - Strong knowledge of rehabilitative and therapeutic techniques
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
