Staff Accountant – CPA

THE OPPORTUNITY A well-established finance team in Burlington County, NJ is seeking a Staff Accountant with CPA credentials and five or more years of hands-on accounting experience. You'll own the full accounting cycle — from journal entries and reconciliations to payroll support and audit preparation — in a role with direct impact on financial integrity and decision-making. • Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions
• Manage accounts payable and receivable using Quick Books, Sage, or Xero
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support payroll processing through ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms
• Assist with SOX compliance, internal audits, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
• Maintain records in accordance with GAAP standards WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency with Quick Books (5+ years required); experience with Xero, People Soft, Workday, or similar platforms a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and general ledger processes
• High accuracy in data entry; experience with double-entry bookkeeping required
