We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This employee will report to the Controller. The responsibilities are professional in function.

- Process customer invoices and track accounts receivable, reconcile revenue-related transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in processing vendor invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and complete monthly cash reconciliation for all bank accounts ensuring accuracy of general ledger entries.
- Conduct variance analysis and report findings to management.
- Assist with Grant reporting documentation, and assist with gathering information and supporting documentation for annual audits
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support special projects and other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Quick Books Online, Microsoft 365. and advanced Excel skills preferred.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk, hear, and smell.
- Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
- Ability to identify and/or distinguish colors.
- Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while remaining fixed on a given point.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds.
- Bachelors or better in Accounting.
- Bachelors or better in Finance.
- Must have a minimum BA/BS degree in Accounting or a business related field or two years bookkeeping or accounting experience with basic understanding or accounting principles, practices and procedures. Knowledge of MS Excel. Familiarity with accounting software (preferably MS Dynamics Great Plains). Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. The ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
