Position Overview
Rutgers University–Camden, School of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Coordinator of Administrative Services. The coordinator provides day‑to‑day administrative support, independently coordinating lecturer, instructor and co‑adjunct contractual processes, ensuring compliance with contracts, timelines and budgets. The position supports approximately 1,000 lecturers and co‑adjunct appointments annually, reviews course enrollment, assists the Dean’s Office, and offers direct support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, prepare, process, and oversee timelines and data needed for budgetary planning and contract management for lecturers and co‑adjunct appointments.
- Ensure compliance with university contracts, budgets, and timelines.
- Review and monitor course enrollment and provide related administrative support.
- Assist the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education with day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
Minimum Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus two years of relevant experience in office administration, work organization, coordination or report‑writing principles.
Required Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and interact successfully with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the university.
- Capable of working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, customer‑service focused team environment within a large, complex academic department.
- Proficient with Microsoft Access for database management and database updates.
- Professional knowledge of general administrative/office management principles and best practices in college administration.

- Previous experience in higher education, especially with reviewing and issuing faculty contracts in accordance with university policy and collective bargaining agreements.

Grade 05; starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum salary: $68,278.48, Mid range: $84,393.98, Maximum: $.

Hybrid work arrangement may be available under Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 pilot program (effective 1 Sept 2022 – 31 Aug 2024). No guarantee beyond this period.
