This position is located in the DEA, New Jersey Field Division. This position's primary purpose is to assist leadership in the performance of administrative, human resource liaison, internal control, logistics to include fleet, personal property (accountable and non-accountable) and supply management, quality assurance, Records Management, and Task for Officer (TFO) Management.

Applicants applying for the GS-09 must meet one of the following requirements:A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-07 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
- 1) Providing administrative support functions to an office related to the operations of various programs, such as administrative, human resource liaison, internal control, logistics, fleet, personal property (accountable and non-accountable), supply management, quality assurance, records management, and Task Force management;
- 2) Assisting senior specialists in the preparation and processing of confidential employee matters;
- 3) Carrying out specified segments of specific projects (e.g., data collection and analysis, preparing reports, briefings, etc.); and,
4) Providing advice to staff and customers related to administrative support programs and its procedures.
B.
Education:
Have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree
-or- two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
C. Combination of
Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.
Add the two percentages.
