Role OverviewThe Business Planning Lead provides executive leadership for all aspects of demand management, leading the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Demand Review step and supporting the delivery of the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan for the business category.
ResponsibilitiesOwner of Demand for Category Leaders – Serve as the demand lead within the IBP Demand Review step, representing rolling projections of consumption, billings, and shipments for AOP and Strategic Planning, surfacing risks and opportunities, and recommending actions when gaps exist.
Own the Integration of Commercial Investments – Integrate marketing spend, trade, pricing, innovation, and assortment into category demand plans, ensuring new initiatives are modeled as incremental demand.
Collaboration across Functional Teams – Act as the single point for demand integration across Sales, Marketing, and Finance; coordinate with Finance for financial implications; work with Data Science to tune forecast models; direct demand analysts on item/location mix forecasting.
Drive Continuous Improvement – Leverage metrics to evaluate forecast performance, enhance processes and tools, and improve accuracy by incorporating marketing, promotion, and pricing signals.
Key partners include Sales, Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and Demand Analytics teams.
Required Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Planning, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and/or Strategy within CPG or adjacent industries.
- Demonstrated experience operating in IBP/S&OP process disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA.
- Strategic and business acumen.
- Deep understanding of P&L and investment impact on demand.
- Ability to translate strategy into quantified demand.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Leadership and influence skills; able to communicate tradeoffs and drive decisions.
- Openness to travel 10‑15% for meetings.
Work arrangements:
Hybrid schedule at Camden, NJ HQ (home on Monday and Friday; office Tuesday–Thursday).
Compensation and Benefits
Target base salary range: $136,300‑$187,400. Pay may include additional compensation and benefits such as health, dental, 401(k) and wellness, starting on day one.
