Director of Operations – Plastic Surgery & Medical Aesthetics

Paradigm Search Group is conducting a highly confidential search for an experienced Director of Operations on behalf of a successful, established plastic surgery and medical aesthetics practice in New Jersey.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished healthcare or aesthetics professional who can operate beyond the scope of a traditional Practice Manager. The Director of Operations will serve as a strategic business partner to physician ownership, with broad responsibility for the operational, financial, and organizational performance of the practice.

We are seeking a proactive, decisive leader who can build accountability, develop people, improve systems, analyze performance, and independently drive initiatives forward.

• Partner with physician ownership to translate strategic vision into operational priorities and measurable goals.
• Lead practice operations with a focus on efficiency, consistency, profitability, and scalability.
• Manage operating budgets, financial KPIs, performance reporting, expenses, and financial controls.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve workflow, profitability, and patient experience.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, processes, and scalable operational systems.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, develop, and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
• Establish clear performance expectations and create a culture of accountability.
• Oversee scheduling, workflow, resource allocation, payroll, vendors, inventory, and administrative functions.
• Utilize KPIs and data to drive measurable improvements in organizational performance.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for operational, personnel, and complex patient matters.
• Proactively identify challenges and present physician ownership with thoughtful solutions and recommendations.

The client is specifically seeking a leader who can independently resolve operational and personnel matters within established authority rather than relying on the physician owner for routine decision-making.

• 5–7+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, plastic surgery, medical aesthetics, concierge medicine, or a related specialty environment.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, financial reporting, KPI management, and performance analysis.
• Proven ability to improve operational efficiency and organizational performance.
• Strong executive presence, professional judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR and practice-management systems;
  Mod Med experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or healthcare management certification is a plus.

Base salary, commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus based on financial, operational, team, and patient-experience KPIs.
