Graphic Designer; Part time​/Temporary

Rutgers University is hiring a Part-Time Graphic Designer for the Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts. The role involves designing and editing various print and digital marketing materials, supporting event promotions, coordinating with university services and external vendors, writing and proofreading promotional content, maintaining website content, and ensuring consistent branding across communications.

• Design and develop print and digital materials such as posters, brochures, newsletters, programs, banners, signage, and social media graphics.
• Provide marketing and communications support for concerts, theater productions, exhibitions, recruitment, and other departmental events.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and university partners to gather information for timely promotion.
• Coordinate with university printing services and external vendors to ensure professional production of materials on schedule.
• Write, edit, and proofread content for email campaigns, newsletters, social media, and event announcements using tools like RAMS email and Constant Contact.
• Assist with updating and maintaining departmental website content aligned with university standards.
• Maintain consistent visual identity and branding across all communications.
• Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience, with 3-5 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $30, with up to 20 hours per week on a fully on-site temporary staff appointment basis.
