Position Goals

Provide CTE Surgical Technology Program students with clear pathways into the CTE Program and guidance through completion.

Provide intrusive classroom and laboratory support and advising.

Provide intensive tutoring and retention support to students in CTE Surgical Technology Programs in order to:

  • Increase course completion and student success
  • Increase placement success

Provide non-traditional career exposure and career placement support for the CTE Surgical Technology students.

Essential Functions
  • Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, demonstrating and promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Provide advisement to CT Surgical Technology Program Students
  • Tutor CTE Surgical Technology Program students throughout the academic year.
  • Provide tutoring support to Surgical Technology students during open laboratory session.
  • Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a related CTE Surgical Technology Program preferred.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology (CST preferred).
  • Experience in teaching, coaching, tutoring or mentoring preferred.
Published Salary Range

$30 per hour
