10-15 hours per week (2 nights per week and alternate Saturdays during the semester). This schedule is subject to change.

Position Goals
  • The Temporary Part-time Library Assistant will report directly to the Director of Library Services and will support the operation of the library by providing timely help at the Library Service Desk.

Job Description
  • Operate the library circulation systems in accordance with College policies.
  • Perform other services provided at the Service Desk.
  • Shelve books.
  • Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma/ GED.
  • Demonstrated success in good communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Neatness, accuracy, dependability, courtesy and attention to detail essential.
  • Experience with library systems desired.
