Part‑time Lecturer/Instructor, Gender Studies

The Gender Studies program at Rutgers University‑Camden invites applications for part‑time lecturer positions for courses in Fall 2023, Winter 2024, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024. Candidates must have effective teaching experience and be able to teach online (Canvas), on‑campus, and/or off‑campus locations. Teaching will cover introductory and advanced courses in women’s, gender, masculinities, transgender studies, and queer/LGBTQIA+ studies. The position may provide an opportunity to participate in campus programming planning around gender studies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree or J.D. in a relevant field.
  • Ph.D. in Gender Studies or related discipline in social sciences or humanities preferred.
  • Effective teaching experience, with the ability to teach online, on‑campus, and/or off‑campus.
  • Strong knowledge of women’s, gender, masculinities, transgender studies, and queer/LGBTQIA+ studies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design lesson plans, assess students, and incorporate inclusive pedagogies.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with in a university teaching environment.
