Job Description

• The Instructor will report directly to the Associate Dean of Workforce Training & Continuing Education and will provide instruction both classroom and lab instruction to adult non-credit students utilizing an approved training curriculum and materials in accordance with the State of NJ for CCC’s evening HVAC program.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis.
• Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns.
• Prepare lesson plans.
• Track student grades and attendance.
• Submit student grades and attendance on a monthly basis.
• Lead, inspire, motivate, and advise students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process.
• Maintain expertise in the subject area.
• Provide regular, accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
• Plan and organize instructional materials/supply inventories/tools/equipment.
• Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
• Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• HVAC technician with a minimum of five years of field experience in either residential or commercial setting.
• CFC 608 certification required, NATE , RSES CM and / or CMS Certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred.
