Coadjutant Instructors, Historic Preservation

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for the Humanities (MARCH) seeks part-time instructors for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and/or Summer 2027 semesters to teach courses in our Continuing Education in Historic Preservation Certificate Program. MARCH is seeking instructors for the specific courses of Preservation Planning and Introduction to Preservation of Historic Interiors. The certificate program is also looking to develop and offer elective courses on environmental preservation practice and issues of climate change and resistance, as well as other elective topics as yet to be developed.

Courses in the Historic Preservation Program are taught as either ten-week 2-credit or five-week 1-credit courses in virtual, hybrid, and in-person models. Applicants should have an MA in Historic Preservation, History or a related field; advanced, up-to-date practical and theoretical experience and knowledge of historic preservation practice and issues in the Mid-Atlantic. Ideally, applicants will also have a good track record teaching historic preservation courses or workshops—or related subjects—for diverse student populations in continuing education settings.
