Position Goals
Help students become familiar with the Student Support Services program, campus environment, and academic expectations of the College.
Participation in trainings and group meetings.
Develop and maintain relationships with first-year and transfer students, assisting students with a smooth transition, acclimation, and a sense of belonging.
Serve as a resource for students new to the College.
Help facilitate and encourage attendance at all classes, workshops, and activities.
Serve as a positive role model.
Maintain confidentiality with any shared information.
Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of one semester of coursework at Camden County College or good academic and student conduct standing.
Willingness to learn and share information about college life, student life, and campus resources.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Have a genuine desire to help their peers succeed.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
