Job Summary
Rutgers University‑Camden’s Faculty of Arts & Sciences, Gender Studies Program is seeking lecturers to teach courses in Fall 2026, Winter 2027, Spring 2027 and/or Summer 2027. Candidates should have effective teaching experience and be able to teach online (Canvas), on campus, and/or at off‑campus locations. Courses include introductory and advanced topics in women’s studies, gender, masculinities, transgender studies, and queer/LGBTQIA+ studies.
The role may offer the opportunity to participate in campus programming around gender studies.
Part‑time lecturer positions.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high‑quality instruction in assigned courses.
- Teach courses online via Canvas, on campus, or at off‑campus sites as required.
- Prepare syllabi, assignments, and assessment tools aligned with program learning outcomes.
- Engage students with current scholarship and critical conversations in gender studies.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff on teaching and program initiatives, including campus programming related to gender studies.
- Master’s degree or higher (Ph.D. preferred).
- Demonstrated effective teaching experience in the discipline of gender studies or related fields.
- Ability to teach courses at introductory and advanced levels.
- Experience with online instructional tools (e.g., Canvas) and/or on‑campus and off‑campus teaching.
