GeneralSummary:
The Youth Programs Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of The Cooperative’s youth programs;
Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) and Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE). The Youth Programs Manager is involved in program planning, training, orientation, and evaluation activities and serves as the link between PREP and local, regional, and statewide education, health and community partners and providers, while maintaining PREP program fidelity and evaluation profile. The Youth Programs Manager serves as a facilitator of Get Real and Teen Outreach Program curriculum to high school aged youth (15 – 18).
- The Youth Programs Manager will effectively cross-collaborate with agency staff, leaders, and board members to foster a comprehensive approach of information sharing, working committees, and collective representation.
- The Youth Programs Manager will have the opportunity to routinely disseminate relevant information, presentations, training, and learning opportunities for internal program and agency staff.
- When applicable, the Youth Programs Manager will participate in relevant staff development opportunities (training, summits, conferences, etc.) to increase skill development, elevate program goals, and engage staff members with timely key learnings.
- Responsible for assisting the Associate Director in establishing and implementing proposed program objectives and activities and participates in identifying and planning to address new youth programming needs.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with youth organizations in target counties to identify host sites for curriculum delivery including securing an MOU at each setting and hosting staff training.
- Finalize recruitment plan and implementation at each site.
- Improve interaction and communication among youth-serving organizations, youth, educators, parents/guardians, and the community.
- Assist with managing the program budget on a consistent basis.
- Collaborates with the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) program coordinator to monitor program goals and budget.
- Assists in developing and implementing program evaluation activities.
- Facilitate PREP cohorts in assigned counties guided by existing evidence-based Get Real and TOP curriculum.
- Oversees PREP and SRAE professional training program, including identifying new audiences, conducting trainings, and maintaining training program evaluation data.
