Primary Responsibilities:

As an ATS Substitute Teacher, you are responsible for:

• Creating a respectful and positive tone to create a happy, engaging atmosphere for your students.
• Maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment to ensure that your students are prepared to learn.
• Continuing student learning despite teacher absences and vacancies by executing detailed lesson plans that engage students and provide quality instruction.
• Using a multitude of instructional strategies that are academically rigorous and highly engaging.
• Working collaboratively with the principal and other teachers.

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Prior teaching or youth volunteer experience (optional but preferred).
• State teaching certification is preferred; substitute teacher certification is required if no credential.
• Experience with classroom management techniques or willingness to learn these skills.
• Strong commitment to reporting to assignments on time.

We work with schools in the Camden, New Jersey area. Teaching assignments are available for both daily and long-term placements.
