Overview
As part of Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems, the Early Career Systems Engineer will tackle challenges using creativity and collaboration. The role involves design, development, integration, and testing of new capabilities for DoD products and technologies.
Responsibilities- Participate in the design, development, integration, and testing of new DoD capabilities.
- Use real‑world models of weapons, radars, and Command & Control systems to identify and address system and software defects.
- Perform mission analysis, Con Ops development, gap analysis, sensitivity and trade studies, system requirements validation, and performance prediction in Ballistic Missile Defense and Anti‑Air Warfare mission areas.
- Apply mathematical models and simulation tools to support decision‑making and validation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability in root‑cause analysis, problem‑solving, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or MATLAB.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment.
- US citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of Agile Development Process and Atlassian tools.
- Knowledge of Static and Dynamic Systems.
- Knowledge of Statistics, Monte‑Carlo analysis, and distributed simulation techniques.
- Knowledge of Data Science principles.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Additional InformationJob Location:
Camden, NJ, and onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility requiring special access.
Work Schedule:
4 × 10‑hour days, 3 days off per week.
Salary Range (NJ): $75,000 – $142,760.
Security Clearance:
Must obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
